Draft notes of the meeting of Minting and Gautby Parish Council held on the 30th of September 2025 at Minting Village Hall at 7.00pm. To be confirmed at the next meeting
Present: - Cllrs E.B.Clark [EC] chairman and acting clerk, H.Padfield [HP], J.Stuchfield [JSt], W.Hughes [WH], L. Bury [LB] A Cadman [AC] and 2 members of the public.

One query concerning the proposed utility survey.

Information re Council reorganisation meeting which was not attended
[7] Reports from District/County Councillors, if any.
County Cllr. N. Oliver:
- talked briefly about staffing changes which are expected if current guidance from the Govt. goes ahead.
- that any highway issues to be reported to her.
- local villages will be offered a 1ton salt bag before winter.
- More detailed explanation on the new Mayoral role in Lincolnshire & funding priorities
[8] Finance
a) To approve payment: - Minting VHC £40- hall hire.
Proposed WH seconded AC Carried unanimously.
-No electricity bill for Gautby Defib’ kiosk as of yet.
-EC has no further information re: Indemnity insurance for the CERT Team.
[9] Planning Matters:
- Update from EC on planning application S/122/00592/24 at Longlands Farm. Planning refused by ELDC in Sept. Cllr. Oliver explained applicant can appeal within 6 months but that ELDC are likely not to comply and advised any concerns are reported back to ELDC.
[10] Parish Maintenance:
a] Utilities survey
CADMAP have delayed the survey, EC to look elsewhere for a different company to carry out the survey.
b] Play equipment inspection
AC explained reasons for need for a survey and the 2 quotes received for the cost. Some discussion with PC members about this.
c] Defibrillator light
Defib’ light at Minting Village Hall is working currently. LB will tell Gladwins not to pursue investigations about this matter.
d] Damaged 30mph signs
Damage has been reported to ‘Fix my Street’. EC has repaired 1 out of the 3 which were down.
[9] Any other business (discussion only) and matters for the next meeting.
- Current PC laptop needs to be updated. EC to discuss with Computer company in Horncastle
- EC trimmed tree hanging over the road in Church Lane
- Minting Classic Motor Show (Sept. 13th) was a great success and raised £1868 for LIVES.
- MGPC asked by Gautby Village Hall if the contribution towards new doors was still available. Offer has never been rescinded and £250 is still available.
