Draft notes of the extraordinary meeting of Minting and Gautby Parish Council held on the 7th of August 2025 at Minting Village Hall at 7.00pm To be confirmed at the next ordinary meeting
Present :- Cllr. E B.Clark chairman and acting clerk [EC], Cllrs. H.Padfield [HP], J.Padfield [JP], J.Stuchfield [JSt], L.Bury [LB] and H.Hughes [WH].
1] Chairman’s welcome and apologies for absence.
There were no apologies for absence.
2] Declarations of interests.
There were none.
3] To confirm, or amend, and sign the draft notes of the meeting of the 29th of July.
EC requested that the confirmation of the draft notes of that meeting be postponed until the next ordinary meeting as there were some references that he felt should be deleted, and that there had been insufficient time to reach agreement on the matters mentioned. This was agreed.
4] To consider a quotation from Cadmap Ltd regarding a proposed Utilities Survey of the culvert[s] on the Green in Minting.
Cllrs. felt that the quotation for the Utilities Survey was well within the expected price range. The additional quotation for ‘Statutory Records’ procedure was discussed, but a decision was postponed for clarification as to whether this was necessary or not.
LB proposed acceptance of the basic quotation for the survey to determine the position of underground services crossing the culvert[s], seconded by HP and resolved.
5] ELDC Planning Committee 7th August 2025
EC reported on the Planning meeting where he and another resident had made objections to application S/122/00592/24. The decision was deferred to a later date pending further inspection of the site.
6] Any other business.
LB agreed to contact Gladwin’s electricians regarding the Minting defibrillator light. With no further business, the meeting closed at 7.30pm
