Minutes of the meeting of 26th September 2023

 

Minutes of the meeting of Minting and Gautby Parish Council held on the 26th of September 2023 at Minting Village Hall at 7.00pm. 

Present :- Cllr. E.B.Clark [EC] chairman / acting clerk, Cllrs H.Padfield [HP], J.Padfield [JP], C.Bruntlett [CB], L.Bury [LB] and J Stuchfield [JS].

 

7.00pm.    Public forum.

                   No members of the public were present.

7.10pm.    Formal council meeting.

[1]        Chairman’s welcome and apologies for absence.

                   There were no apologies for absence.

[2]       Declaration of interests.

                    There were none.

[3]       To confirm, or amend, and sign the draft notes of the meeting of  the 25th of July 2023.

            CB proposed that the draft notes be adopted as the true and correct minutes of the meeting of 25th July 2023, seconded by JS and resolved. The chairman then signed the minutes.

[4]    Matters arising from the minutes, and activity since the last meeting.

       The Minting Classic Car Show went ahead on the 10th September, and was a great success.

      JS reported that he now had the litter pickers from LCC, which were  available for residents to use.

      Councillors reported receiving scam e-mails purporting to be from the acting Clerk. 

[5]    Correspondence

          Correspondence, other than advertising, was related to Item 8.

[6]    Reports from District / County Councillors.

          There were none.

[7]      Finance.

          a]    To confirm the Lloyds Bank account reconciliation.

                  The balance of £10,022.81 as of the 10th August statement was checked.  CB proposed confirmation of the reconciliation, seconded by JP and resolved. CB signed the statement.

            b]   To approve payment :-

                    Safelincs – defibrillator and cabinet -      £1787.98

              JS proposed approval, seconded by HP and resolved.

[8]      Planning matters.

           Comments had been received from residents regarding the use of mobile homes at a Church Farm in Gautby, and ongoing concerns regarding Longlands Farm in Minting.

            LB mentioned that a resident had raised a planning query regarding internal alterations to the Sebastapol.  EC agreed to make enquiries.

[9]     Parish maintenance.

          EC reported that he was making enquiries regarding the Minting defibrillator light.

          The new defibrillator for Top Minting had arrived, and was awaiting installation.

[10]    Any other business, and matters for the next meeting.

           There being no further business, the meeting closed at 7.45pm.
