Minutes of the extraordinary meeting of Minting and Gautby Parish Council held on the 8th of May 2024 at Minting Village Hall at 7.00pm.
Present:- Cllr E.B.Clark -chairman / acting clerk [EC], H.Padfield [HP], J.Padfield [JP], L.Bury [LB], C.Bruntlett [ CB] and J.Stuchfield [JS]
[1] Apologies for absence.
There were none.
[2] To approve, or amend and sign the draft notes of the meeting of the 26th of March 2024.
With no proposals for amendment, JS proposed adoption of the draft notes as the true and correct minutes of the meeting of the 26th of March 2024. Seconded by JP and resolved. The chairman duly signed the minutes.
[3] Planning matters.
a] S/122/00592/24 - Dog breeding- Lodge lane, Minting
Discussion of this application centred upon the undesirability of large scale puppy farming, with its questionable welfare potential, noise, traffic and the imposition of a non-agricultural business on an agricultural field. CB proposed that the PC object, seconded by LB and resolved. The chairman agreed to convey the PC’s objections to ELDC Planning Dept.
b] S/097/01417/23 -Increased gas storage – Hatton Gas Terminal
Cllrs. felt that they had insufficient information to comment, but trusted the regulatory bodies to assure adequate safety. There were no proposals to comment on the application.
The meeting closed at 7.15pm.
