Minutes of the extraordinary meeting of 19th October 2021
Minutes of the extraordinary meeting of Minting and Gautby Parish Council held on the 19th October 2021 at Minting Village Hall at 7.00pm.
Present :- Cllr.E.B.Clark [EC] Chairman and acting Clerk, Cllrs. H Padfield [HP], J.Padfield [JP] and J.Stuchfield [JS].
[1] Public forum.
No members of the public were present.
[2] Chairman’s welcome and apologies for absence.
Cllr. Bruntlett sent apologies for absence for personal reasons. JP proposed acceptance, seconded by JS and resolved.
[3] Declarations of interests.
There were none.
[4] To confirm, or amend, the draft notes of the meeting of 28th September 2021.
JS proposed adoption without amendment, seconded by HP and resolved. The Chairman duly signed the adopted minutes as a true and accurate record of the previous meeting.
[5] Planning matters.
[a] S/122/01988/21 – erection of a replacement dwelling.
Whitegates, Mill Lane, Minting.
Councillors agreed that the rebuilding of the house due to current structural problems was not a controversial matter, and that no comment by the PC was necessary.
[b] S/122/01909/21 – outline permission to erect a dwelling on land adjacent to Grundy’s Lane, Minting.
One written, and several verbal objections had been received by the PC. The proposed site is green field, and therefore not in accordance with the Local Plan. After considerable discussion, it was agreed that the proposed site was not suitable for development, and that the PC would therefore oppose the application. JS proposed the objection, seconded by JP and resolved. The Chairman agreed to convey the Council’s objection to ELDC Planning Dept.
[6] Finance.
To approve payments :-
[a] Gautby VHC – hall hire and defibrillator electricity[2yrs] £48.00
[b] Minting VHC - hall hire £24.00
[c] Mrs. V Brown – defibrillator electricity [ 1yr] £20.00
[d] Gautby VHC - grant for bulb planting £160.00
[e] Gautby VHC – grant for hall maintenance materials £610.00
JS proposed approval, seconded by JP and resolved.
[7] Parish maintenance.
To consider options for a replacement notice board in Minting.
After discussion, the preferred option was a three cabinet aluminium board from the ‘Prestige’ range sold by the Parish Noticeboard Co. The Chairman agreed to obtain a quotation for the cost of installation. The matter to be decided at the next ordinary PC meeting.

There being no further business, the meeting closed at 7.50pm.
